I have several finished champions, and plan each litter very carefully. I breed for health, conformation, temperament, type and soundness.
I'm a member of the Twin Cities Poodle Club, Versatility In Poodles, the St Joe Valley Agility Training Club, ECHO Dog Training Club and the Michiana Kennel Club. I've served on the Board of Directors, as show chair, Webmaster, and as newsletter editor. I have fostered and assisted with rescue under auspices of the TwinCities Poodle Club, and am the publisher of the Toy Poodle Database as sold at PCA.
Companion Quality dogs come from the same litters as breeding and show prospects, and are therefore placed in good family homes. Neutering your pet will stop many future problems for you, including producing unwanted puppies, and will probably give your pet a longer and healthier life. I am interested in protecting and improving purebred dogs, particularly poodles by using the breed standard of the AKC as outlined by The Poodle Club of America to guide us in improving dogs via good breeding programs. This involves extensive selection and genetic testing by me. I sell on written contracts only with health guarantees to approved applicants with references. All pets shall be neutered by the age of one year, and all adults are sold already spayed or neutered. In the meantime, the full pedigree will be furnished to buyer, but the registration papers will be withheld until evidence is provided to the seller that the dog has been neutered. Failure to have the dog altered within the agreed time period VOIDS ALL GUARANTEES.
I have puppies, young adults, and retired adults available occasionally in minis in blue, silver, black and brown and toys in black and brown. Stud service to approved tested bitches by private treaty.
Dreem began as a dream for me. The goal was to own, show, and possibly produce some of the best quality miniatures and toys in the United States.
I rate quality on
- health
- conformation to the AKC standard as set by the Poodle Club of America
- type
- soundness
- temperament
- ...in no particular order.
It takes ALL of these to make a quality poodle a quality poodle.
In 2007, the 13th home bred champion was finished and the first finished champion to be from the bred-by-exhibitor class. (I have 15 home bred champions today) The decision was made to register a kennel name to use for all future puppies. Dream is Not a name which can be registered (and I knew that from the beginning) However, AKC has accepted Dreem
for full registration.
The name has changed, the players haven't.
