All our puppies at Enchantment Poodles are raised in our home and are very well socialized with people (including children), dogs and cats. Our dogs live as family members, not in a kennel, and we expect the same for all of our puppies that leave us, show dogs or pets. We take breeding very seriously at Enchantment Poodles and make sure all of our puppies are from health tested parents only. This ensures that our puppies go on to live happy healthy lives in their forever homes. Temperament is a very important part of our breeding program as well. We receive many phone call and email updates from our puppy buyers and everyone is so thrilled with the wonderful, sweet, outgoing temperaments in our puppies. They themselves receive many compliments on how “friendly” their dog is. Enchantment Poodles also breeds for beautiful poodles, because lets face it, poodles are the most beautiful dog there is!! Although we aim to produce show prospect puppies in all our litters, not all will make the cut, but this does not make them any less of a pet. And because we are very selective as to where a show prospect puppy will go, and the fact that we can’t keep them all, a lot of our show prospect puppies will end up in pet homes. We strive to preserve what the poodle is suppose to be; outgoing, friendly, very devoted to their family, intelligent and of course their elegant beauty.

Puppies are available in the colours black, blue, white, cream, and on occasion silver, silver-beige and phantom.

We leave natural tails and front dewclaws on all our puppies. It is only a matter of time before it is banned here in North America, just like it has been in Europe for many years now.

Most of our puppies are sold before they are born and new parents are welcome to visit their new baby anytime after 5 weeks of age, as many times as they like. During their time with us we make sure our puppies are exposed to a normal household with people coming and going and sounds they will normally hear throughout their lives like vacuums, music, clapping, and laughing to name a few.

Puppies have their first try at puppy food, which is soaked and mashed into a soup-like mixture, at 4-5 weeks of age. They are fully weaned onto a dry kibble, Hill’s Healthy Advantage Puppy Formula Veterinary Exclusive, by the time they leave for their new homes, and will remain on this food until 1 year of age. At 1 year of age they will be transitioned over to either Hill’s Prescription t/d or Hill's Healthy Advantage Adult Formula Veterinary Exclusive, both these diets are completely balanced adult foods with no supplements needed. At 9 weeks of age they have their first check-up and receive their first vaccine and have their microchip implanted. By the time they leave for their new home (10 weeks of age for minis, 12-14 weeks of age for toys) the puppies have been fully de-wormed. Puppies are always fully groomed before leaving us. Each puppy leaves with a blanket with mom and littermate’s scent, a toy, food, a leash and harness, information on how to raise your puppy, and a 45 day pet insurance policy with Pet Care.

We have a written 3 year genetic health and temperament guarantee, which entails following a strict vaccine schedule and diet. All puppies are Canadian Kennel Club registered on a non-breeding contract as well as a our own spay/neuter contract. If a puppy is going to a show home, non-breeding contract will be lifted once championship and required health testing are complete.

We care very deeply about our puppies that we bring into the world and are very careful about where we let our babies go. It is quite an emotional day when we have to let our babies go and mom and I usually have moist eyes after we watch them drive out of the driveway. If you have had or have a dog/pet, then we do require a veterinary and groomer (if applicable) reference before any decisions are made to letting one of our babies go. If you have never had a dog/pet before then we use our own judgment as to whether or not you are the right home for one of our puppies. If you have children then we MUST meet the children and see for ourselves how they interact with the puppies as well as the adult dogs. A puppy is a very serious and life long commitment and we want to make sure our puppies are in the right forever homes.

We receive quite a few phone calls and email updates from very happy owners who have purchased a puppy from Enchantment Poodles and we have even had owners return for a second one! We love to hear from all our puppy buyers and enjoy receiving pictures and visits too. We are just so happy we can make someone else’s life and family complete with the unconditional love of poodle.

Note: We DO NOT breed or support and condone the breeding of poodle crosses so if you are looking for a poodle cross, please DO NOT contact us. A “Goldendoodle, Labradoodle, Shih-poo, and such are not breeds, they are mutts, mixed breeds. Please do not be fooled by these so called breeders that tell you they are a “new breed” and be taken for quite an unrealistic amount of money.
