We leave natural tails and front dewclaws on all our puppies. It is only a matter of time before it is banned here in North America, just like it has been in Europe for many years now.

Most of our puppies are sold before they are born and new parents are welcome to visit their new baby anytime after 5 weeks of age, as many times as they like. During their time with us we make sure our puppies are exposed to a normal household with people coming and going and sounds they will normally hear throughout their lives like vacuums, music, clapping, and laughing to name a few.

Puppies have their first try at puppy food, which is soaked and mashed into a soup-like mixture, at 4 weeks of age. They are fully weaned onto a dry kibble by the time they leave for their new homes. At 9 weeks of age they have their first check-up and receive their first vaccine and have their microchip implanted. We follow Dr. Jean Dodds puppy vaccine protocol. By the time they leave for their new home (10 weeks of age for minis, 12-14 weeks of age for toys) the puppies have been fully de-wormed. Puppies are always fully groomed before leaving us. Each puppy leaves with a blanket with mom and littermate’s scent, a toy, food, treats and information on how to raise your puppy.

We have a written 3 year genetic health and temperament guarantee, which entails following a strict vaccine schedule and diet. All puppies are Canadian Kennel Club registered on a non-breeding contract as well as a our own spay/neuter contract. If a puppy is going to a show home, non-breeding contract will be lifted once championship and required health testing are complete.

We care very deeply about our puppies that we bring into the world and are very careful about where we let our babies go. It is quite an emotional day when we have to let our babies go and mom and I usually have moist eyes after we watch them drive out of the driveway. If you have had or have a dog/pet, then we do require a veterinary and groomer (if applicable) reference before any decisions are made to letting one of our babies go. If you have never had a dog/pet before then we use our own judgment as to whether or not you are the right home for one of our puppies. If you have children then we MUST meet the children and see for ourselves how they interact with the puppies as well as the adult dogs. A puppy is a very serious and life long commitment and we want to make sure our puppies are in the right forever homes.
